| CHICAGO DRAPERY AND CARPET, INC. CHANGES ITS NAME TO THE CDC GROUP, INC. CHICAGO, IL, October 16, 2008: Chicago Drapery and Carpet, Inc. celebrates its twentieth anniversary in 2008, and is marking the occasion with a name change. Effective immediately, Chicago Drapery and Carpet, Inc. will become The CDC Group, Inc. The company provides custom window treatments to commercial and residential clients and specializes in automated window treatments. Sam Lallas started Chicago Drapery and Carpet, Inc. at his kitchen table in 1988. He initiated the name change to reflect the company’s expansion of its product line from custom window treatments to sophisticated systems integration, engineering, and installation services for automated and mechanized window treatments. The CDC Group, Inc. plans to launch a line of custom architectural interior products, including architectural panels, partitions, wall systems and projection screens. The new name also signals an expanded market share for The CDC Group, Inc. Originally, Chicago Drapery and Carpet, Inc. served clients in Chicago and its suburbs. Today, The CDC Group’s market share extends throughout the upper Midwest, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Iowa. The company has expanded its business in Wisconsin considerably, and recently opened a new office in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
